Google map composed of way points I marked with Google maps using my cell phone:
http://local.google.com/maps/ms?msa=...5,4.916382&z=8

I reset my track timer/trip odometer when we started our run on Thursday so I have a full breakdown of our riding. I'll post that tomorrow when I check it.

I just wanted to say this was an awesome trip with great people. Mike (Hondasaki) thank you very much for putting this trip together (hotel, restaurants, routes). It takes time and effort and it is appreciated. Wayne and Frank ya'll should put together a motorcycle recovery business and make some money!! LOL. Or a live streaming business from anywhereville. Everyone on this forum and other forums shares a similar passion, motorcycles and riding. Add some great friends, socializing, food, pictures, live streaming and mountains and you have a lifelong memory. Saturday's ride was EPIC!!!! The whole trip was great but saturday is etched in my mind forever, wow.

I have some video and hope to post it soon. Yes Janet I have some video of you, but you kept waving me by so it's limited, not my fault haha. No MAJOR problems occurred mechanical or personal but we did have a few hiccups. We used each person's talent to overcome any minor issues, Chris (Dark Hyper) made sure we ate, Mike (Psyco) made sure we stayed moving/busy, Mike (Hondasaki) made sure we hit the right roads and found our way home and the occasional repair, Janet (Nekkied Chic) kept us up to date on the rest of the world, Wayne and Frank made sure everyone here could watch us live and helped a downed rider manage their bike transport, and I made sure Angie could relax while my legs went to sleep haha, Its all part of the adventure. Looking forward to doing it again.

The numbers:

These were taken from my lap/track timer/computer on the Daytona. I zereo'd everything out at the hotel before our first ride Thursday afternoon:

Avg speed: 41 mph
Top speed: ?
Total miles: 623.1
Avg MPG: 48.6

I spent about 90% of my time at or near the back of the pack, so I'm fairly certain that the others have "slightly" higher avg speeds.

It was a real pleasure riding with all of you. Thanks to everyone for making this trip another huge success!

I'm glad that you caught that I was only half kidding when I threw out the suggestion. I haven't researched the idea, but I know that motorcycles are utilized in this capacity in other parts of the world, and perhaps even here in the U. S. A proposal that can demonstrate a cost saving would be a huge selling point in this economy.

As it turns out, you don't have to look very far for inspiration, Jimmie.

As it turns out our very own Dayton Beach Fire Dept has Harleys. The Motards would be so much better (and fun). My bike cost close to half what the Harleys do that alone should be reason enough.

How about that? I didn't realize the DBFD utilized motorcycles...so the idea is much more mature and widespread than I realized. On the upside, this could make for an easier sell to the municipal fathers.
