Some things you can always count on in racing: you'll never park in a convenient spot at Daytona in March, and Chris Carr will always win the Peoria TT, because he's done so--almost year in and out--for 13 years.
Well ... now some of that is still probably true.
Chris Carr's amazing win record at the Peoria TT--they say he's never finished second there--came to an end today. And the ending has Nick Hayden's name on it.
Amazingly, Honda's Nick Hayden won the Peoria TT this afternoon, coming from the fourth row of the final to make a last lap pass for the win. Hayden joins the true legends who have won Peoria, like Ricky Graham, Dick Mann and Carr.
Podium Results:
Nicky Hayden
JR Schnabel
Chris Carr
Hayden won the Springfield TT earlier in the season.
